I've been keeping an eye over this whole fandom mess for a little while, and I agree that you should have blatantly said what your new policies are, when fandom was asking, you decide to keep everyone in the dark with these 'more clarifications'. We didn't need more, we needed actually clarifications. We needed something so we could atleast know what the hell you were talking about. We needed to know that you still, in away, liked us. Or that you wanted us to GTFO. Instead we get mumble jumble and whiny fandomers, whiny people complaining about fandomers, and people with questions that needed to be answer. Unfortunately, you ignored us.
Yeah, half the stuff you've said has been pretty much bullshit. I highly doubt even your own staff knows whats going on. Especially regarding the email ponderosa121 received about the art she drew. How it wasn't children porn, but it had no artist merit. Could you please explain to me what is your credentials on this matter? Because I highly don't having horrible PR skills and pissing off people count.
Unfortunately, this is your company. As a non-paying customer, I guess all I can do is smile and nod while you gripe about protecting free speech, but then suspend fanart with 'no artist merit'. But who am I to questions the great power of the evil overlords? But you have made me get all angry over the fact that you have a number of communities that go against your own ToS. Especially regarding a pro-anorexic community, a LJ staffer says these communities give support. Yes, support. I don't believe this staffer has seen what has been written in this community. Girls going 'I need to continue fasting! Help me not eat!', and receiving 'helpful' advice to achieve this. Truly a community of greatness! I'm also beginning to wonder if the LJ staff have actual completed school. Clearly they would know what the prefix 'pro' would mean.
Although during this whole mess, Livejournal has achieved one moment of intelligence. They created theljstaff. I guess with all this shit against burr86, they listened to at least one suggestion. Get a sockpuppet account.
