Bill Murray is probably my favourite actor, and I'm sooooo delighted with the movies he's been doing the past eight years or so. It's been an impressive run: Rushmore, Lost in Translation, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Cradle Will Rock, Coffee and Cigarettes, and now this. I noticed something about the music in that movie as well, I think it was that there was none except for that mix. I must have missed the Allman Brothers.

I recently saw Lost in Translation for the first time and I must say that for me, it did not live up to all of its hype. Maybe I need to watch it again or maybe I just don't get it, but I was really disappointed. I want to say that it sucked, but I'm afraid of what might happen to me if I did.

The Allman Brothers were buried in the background....easy to miss. As for Lost in Translation, what didn't you like about it? I'll do my best to win you over.

Meh. I think I just heard people saying how it was one of their favourite movies and I just couldn't see what was so great about it. I have to admit that you and Amy are the people who have sung its praises, so I'm figuring that maybe it has something to do with you guys being North American and having lived in Japan. I don't want to come to that conclusion though, so I will give it another chance.

I just think the movie didn't match the hype. Let me watch it again and then I'll let you know where I stand.

I think this film worked best as a look at the failures of the Baby Boomer generation.

i hadn't thought of it that way when i saw it, but that's a neat thought. i liked that they played there is an end by holly goligthly during the opening credits. when i hear that i said, "i already love it."
