Cinematic grab-bag

I've been slacking on this. So, in the interests of efficiency, here are the films that I've seen (or at least remember seeing) since the last time I updated:

Kanal is totally haunting. So well put together. Ashes and Diamonds is a different animal altogether, I found. And A Taste of Cherry is pretty magical. When Louis Armstrong's St. James Infirmary Blues comes on it's so great.

Yeah, that Louis Armstrong ending was amazing. That's what I meant by the post-modern, extra-diegetic ending.
