olden France days.... "D'artagnan!!!" oodelally3 May 17 2007, 06:25:19 UTC
Oh, man--Waiting for Guffman is one of my favourites! I love that scene where the couple--the "great actors of the town"--are pretending to "talk amongst themselves" during a scene...and all they say is "Hub-hub, hub-hub, hub-hub." Oh, my God...cracks me up every time.

Here's a quote for you:
Corky St. Clair: What the city council did was really... give me a challenge, and it's a challenge that I am going to... accept. It's like in the olden days, in the... days of France, when men would slap each other with their gloves... say, y'know..."D'Artagnan!"... y'know, "how dare you talk to me like that, you!," and... smack 'em!

Yes, yes, YESSSSS! You are going to love it, I promise! Oh, my God--it's so hilarious. How can you go wrong with an alien in a musical? Oh, and the ballet sequence Corky does...ah, jeez...Oh! And the Great Acting Couple at the end--she cracks me up when she talks about what she'd like to try next, when she's talking to someone on stage.
