Whether you're a great devotee or you don't even know who these Deities are, these are beautiful photos and definitely worth a look! from the ISKCON centre in Chicago, Melbourne and a temple in Mayapur, India. they're amazing! Starting off with pics from Nrisimhadeva's Appearance Day, from the Mayapur temple.
Note: some photos are pretty big, so be patient while they load.

bathing Nrisimha with water and milk(or some white liquid, if not that)

covered with pink powder

garlanded with fruit and flowers

ok... the photos from the Melbourne temple aren't showing up, so here's Sri Sri Kishore Kishori and Jagannatha, from New Seva Kunj Dham, in Chicago.

Lord Balarama, Lady Subhadra and Lord Jagannath

I finally found out why They look kind-of cartoonish- i always wondered... a maharaja had asked a carver to create Deities of Jagannath, Subhadra and Balarama for him. the carver did so, but was interrupted, and didn't get back to work on them before the maharaja arrived. The king saw the deities were incomplete, but worshipped them with great love and devotion anyway. it's been a tradition to keep the Deities looking exactly as they did when the maharaja worshipped them since then. interesting, huh?
