Two long waited movies that didn't win me: GotG and WW

I'd been waiting for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 since the first time I walked out of the cinema after watching GotG Vol 1. And I ended up not enjoying it as much as I thought I would. I absolutely loved the first volume: I think it's brilliant, original, funny, musicaly perfect and could barely be better (just maybe make Ronan more of a badass ( Read more... )

I agree with SO much about both of these movies!!

I enjoyed GotG2...but I didn't LOVE it, like I did the first one...and the soundtrack wasn't as good.

And I also enjoyed WW, and liked quite a bit about it...but had strong feels against how much we say Steve as well!!

So happy it's not only me!!!

I'm glad to know there's someone else who saw the same as me!

They're entertaining movies, but not at all masterpieces. I would put them at the same level as the average good-enough superhero movie.

GotG Vol. 1 was tons of miles above that, though.

Damn, that's a shame to hear that about GOTG. I still haven't seen it.

Well, a lot of people loved it. Hopefully that'll be you too. I just didn't think it was as good as the first one.

Jaja, it's not that I disliked them so much either, just that I was expecting them to blow my mind and instead I found some things I didn't like among the good entertainment time. If I hadn't been expecting the best I probably would have left the cinema with a good feeling.

Chris Pine: I loved him in the movie and I liked his storyline but I can't stop remembering how never in the history of superhero movies has been a love interest with such important role in the story (and he plays that role only because he's a man and the main character can't be by herself being a woman... That would mean less audience and a worse movie, of course). That's my problem with him.
