For me, the sweetest part of this is the victory in Virginia.  It's not that shocking of a victory, despite the whole thing about not going to a Democratic president since LBJ -- the area has been trending Democratic in recent years, from what I've been hearing.  But I just think it's an indictment of the

Virginia going blue was an emotional moment in our living room. Both my boyfriend and one of his friends that watched the election with us are from Virginia, and the entire night they kept checking Virginia and hoping that even though it seemed unlikely for the first part of the election maybe momentum would pick up. And when it was actually called blue, my boyfriend's friend basically jumped up and down. Definitely a joyful moment.
