Tell your flatmate they are awesome. Now I have a chart to illustrate to my fanatical Tory best friend that 36% is not a majority.
They got the most votes, yes. But as far as I'm concerned 'majority' in an election means that the majority of the population voted for you. That means over 50%.

Sigh.

I have to go and get into an argument now.
