OMFG. I loved this. It has everything I love!

FIRST OFF: That phone call in the beginning...heartbreaking. But I love what was there. While returning to the past could never happen, the prospect of something new...possible.

SECONDLY: The Jen Bitch Slap was awesome. I love you for having that in there. Demi deserved it. I love how right after, Jen was like, "Okay then, now proceed with that friendly little reminder". <--That is what ran through my mind when I read that scene.

Demi recovers and looks around, hoping no one saw the domestic friend abuse that just occurred.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! PRICELESS!

THIRDLY: The conversation before the bathroom...it was all too painful but rightfully so. Selena, once again telling her that they can't go back to the past, and Demi, cling on to a thread of hope.

“You’re too pretty to cry…” the words are remnants of their younger days, when the sight of red eyes and wet cheeks were all too familiar between them. That line right there? That gave me hope for them

I knew i wanted there to be some sort of ~reconnection in this chapter, to prove to everyone that, yes, this is in fact a demi/selena piece lol. But i always knew I had to keep it cold and a little aloof throughout. But I figured that in person, Selena would be able to melt a little in Demi's presence, and that's what allowed her to touch Demi's oh so pretty face.

Oh, you. I'll give you a hint since I love you so much. WHen I was first brainstorming all this way back in May with chismes I promised her I'd have a Selena-Miley brawl. ;D I'm just hoping I can make it believable. But goddamn, I really want some hair pulling.

I'm glad you liked the coming out scene, it was really important to me that I get it a certain way - and yea, calm yet relieving is the emotion i was going for. After feeling alone and numb for so long, Selena really needed to just breakdown, so that she could build herself up again, as a "new" Selena - this will tie in with the new relationship Demi hopes to build with her.

It's been a while, I remember this fic now that I went back and skimmed the other parts. You were in the process of writing it around the time I was just stepping into the fandom :) Oh, and while I was skimming I got to your bit about Demi recording and wondering why the sun keeps shining when she's so depressed and immediately thought 'Chasing the Sun Away' by the Mighty Mighty Boss Tones (one of my favorite songs ever, and entirely relevant because it's about being depressed after a break up and then angry at the weather for being so damn pleasant)

I love this fic, and this part in particular. Its sad but there's hope and it's just great to read. And Selena telling her mom and then finally being able to fall apart was kind of perfect. I also loved Jen here, she's Selena's Willow and she's giving Demi the shovel speech. I'm excited to see where things go from here. I'm on Selena's side, cause I'm always on Selena's side, but I hope her side ends up also being Demi's :)

OMG an update!
I'm so excited to see a new chapter of this.

Their special first time can be no more than like sloppy seconds now.
this absolutely broke my heart, and reminded me why I was loving this fic, because how is Selena going to get past this to find the forgiveness Demi wants.

I hope you update again soon, looks like Selena's resolve is slipping a bit so I'm excited to see how Demi wins her back.

Oh and Jen slapping Demi - AWESOME! What a great friend :)

GAH! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PICKING UP ON THAT LINE!!!

Its like, the central theme of all of this, but somehow the girl's have to learn that it's about making memories with the one you truly love, and not dwelling on mistakes.

The next update will have them attempt to be friends, but ya know.... it's not going to be easy. It never is.
