you won't believe what happened yesterday! i got this package in the mail, that i've been looking forward to, and it made me really excited! it had this really great print in it (which is now framed and on my wall), AND a mixtape! not to mention, the person (who is one of my favorite people ever, i should add) included a very nice letter. it made me smile. i miss them.
dave, where in new york are you going to go to take photos? if you need any ideas, i know some places that are really interesting. send me an email or something if you are interested. take care. tad
Arg, we decided not to go this weekend because our history midterm is due this coming week and we figured it'd be too stressful, but hopefully we'll make a trip out soon. But I'm definately interested in knowing a few good places. How are things with you?<<33dave
here are some good places. they are all pretty easy to get to and if you get lost there are plenty of poeple who can help you find them. 1) coney island of course. it has a creepy abandoned amusement park feel. it has a really nice charm to it and plenty of things to photograph. (it is at the end of the W subway line) 2) williamsburg. a good place that has plenty of interesting people to shoot and plus if you walk around you can find some really gritty city things. (take the L to bedford) 3) DUMBO has the same charm as williamsburg. (i am not really sure how to get there, but it is under the manhattan bridge.) 4) during most of the weekend a lot of nu metal kids hang out at the stupid suclpture at astor place. (4 or 5 train i think.) that is all i can really think of. there is also the brooklyn bridge, which is cool, but really anywhere can give you good photos. the subway is great to sneek shots of crazy people and stuff. good luck and i hope that all is well.
Thanks a ton! I'll be sure to try and get to at least one of those places depending on how much time I have. All is well here, I hope things are just as well with you.<<33dave
