Not a kick to the 'nads in my case but a bit of a boot in the butt. Went outside today to see the ceiling of my garage bulging in, looked at the roof and a small section has blown away. Trying to get in touch with my buddy who does home repairs, but he's also the only person in the world, or at least North America, without voice mail or an answering machine. Then was driving down the highway and my car missed once and my check engine light came on. Had time to read the codes before the closed - 300, random misfire, the same thing that lead to replacement of the EGR valve at $400+ very recently. Probably wasn't the issue at all, I'm thinking.
That's not a kick in the balls, though, so it sounds like you ran into something(s) worse. Hope it looks up soon.
