Momma the milk cow

Well now I know why I haven't posted lately. I sit down to type (or have hubby type for me) and all my thoughts go out the window. Takes 10 minutes to get my thoughts gathered back up. *sigh ( Read more... )

Sorry so late in replying... I probably shouldn't tell you that she slept in TWO four hour segments last night eh? Woke up just for a feed and a diaper change, and barely that.

You live! *g* Good to hear everything is going good and condolences once again on losing your grandpa--and you're lucky Lenae sleeps that long. Rhea used to have me up at all hours!

And I know what you mean about supply not equaling demand--I just didn't have enough milk for poor Rhea and I hated my pump. However, they say even if the wee one's only breastfed for a month that there are good benefits from it. Kid's healthy as a horse and eats more than most grown men so it must be true! :-)

When I can get enough energy up to actually leave my bed when not at work, I'm sending you something!

I keep checking LJ for updates on you - sorry I haven't commented much but I do pop on to read quite a bit.

Yeah, I'm glad she's getting what breastmilk she can. It's funny, I bawled about NOT having enough milk the other day when I'd never intended to nurse (just pump) anyway. Funny how things turn out once something like nursing works well except for one little hitch.

One thing I've got to ask the OB about at my postpartum checkup is to do a breast exam. At some point in the past I've had some technical description of why my breasts feel "grainy" (like a beanbag) and if it's the term I'm thinking of, it may be affecting my milk supply - hypoplastic I think.

Oh no! Sorry about your papaw. I must've missed that post when I was Internet-less.

BUT I'm very glad that you and Lenae are doing well. She's beautiful! Congrats again!
