Weekend Update
Lenae has officially cut her first tooth - bottom left - with the bottom right tooth coming in right behind. I noticed Friday when my FIL was over to pick up the boys for the weekend. Lenae wouldn't let him hold her (screamed and screamed) so I had to sit her in my lap facing him so he could play with her a bit. She decided to nibble on my thumb ( Read more... ) -
Local Eateries
I know there are some folks on my f-list that work in the downtown area of LR. I schedule a ton of lunch meetings where we feed the attendees, and I'm running out of decent places to order from that can capably handle orders ranging from as small as three people to about a dozen. Lenae - Food, Sleep, Rolling
Lenae hasn't had a drop of formula since the 14th. Bear wanted to experiment with taking away her 4-oz bottle of formula and subbing baby food instead. We have a much, much happier baby and a bit less spitup, although you can tell her meds don't help much (especially towards the end of the dosing schedule). Book 61: C.E. Murphy, Urban Shaman, Book 1 of the Walker Papers series. Paranormal. 5 stars.
Comic threads intertwine with the darker ones, making this an enjoyable read. Joanne's insistance on walking away from her heritage and being "just a mechanic" bite her in the butt as she goes on a wild chase to rescue a woman she saw chased from the ( Read more... ) -
Baby Toy Rec
When she first found I was pregnant with Lenae, my sister brought me two Pooh Bear toys that were my niece's. One was the crawling Pooh. We put Lenae on her floor quilt with Pooh Saturday and she went NUTS. Book 52: Richard K. Morgan - Woken Furies, Book 3 of the Takeshi Kovacs series. Cyberpunk. 4 stars.
While the Takeshi Kovacs books remain dark in nature due to their cyberpunk theme, this third novel seemed to be the darkest of the three. Kovacs is revived on his homeworld of Harlan's World this time ( Read more... ) -
