Voted for Obama. Don't regret the decision. As a matter of fact, given the choice to do so tomorrow, knowing exactly what I do right now, I'd do it again. However, this demonstrates once again and very clearly why I believe that bi-partisan politics are tearing this country apart.

Yep, they are, but even without them it's human nature for people to find reasons to argue with each other.

Ok, the problem with Obama vs McCain - on the one hand, you have a Priest who believes he knows what America needs, and is ignoring what is going on (Poverty hit record levels last year, right back to the 1960's when the "War on Poverty" was declared. I'd say we lost). On the other hand, you had an obviously senile war veteran who had as a running mate a woman whose grasp on science was so tenuous, she belived that dinosaurs and people existed at the same time, the world is 6000 years old, and that being able to see Russia qualified her as an expert on Russia.

Lose-Lose.

The main problem I have with "liberals" is the same I have with everyone else who wants something in politics: "Who is going to PAY for this?" and they never have a sustainable answer...
