I wouldn't compare the observations of a century past (regardless of source) to the scientific capabilities of today that are able to accurately trace temperature differences to less then a tenth of a degree all the way back to 650,000 years ago, spanning six known cycles of glaciation (mini ice ages). That said, I still like your analogy...heh. Since you were kind enough to send me one of your mix CD's a few years back, if I can find a way to copy this, would you like one? I'm not one to preach (and it's not my intention), but I've seldomly (read: never) seen a piece that so clearly shifted my thinking on something that I considered so unprovable.
