Oooooooh, how awful. (But you were right -- you stepped on it and it stung you.) It's worth asking if it could get you out of the trip to Six Flags, especially if you can wear a sock tomorrow, perhaps padded liberally with other socks, so that the swelling looks *even more* debilitating.

Well, the verdict is that I go, but I get to hang out in one place all day so kids have a person to check in with if they get lots or stung by some marauding creature. I'm bringing lots of work and a good book. Wheee.

I've never been stung on the sole of my foot, but I have been on the palm of my hand, and I bet the sole of your foot is many times worse.
