I can quite honestly say that I had NO idea what you were talking about until you posted something over at MaryMcAwesome comm. I had no idea what Mary and Eddie personal pics you are talking about, except for one icon. I guess I am so naive that I thought it was photoshopped.

I am truly AMAZED that I have not heard about this until earlier today.

To be fair, the only place that the displeasure (more like surprise) was expressed was in an obscure sub-thread of a worst episode discussion on battlestar_blog. The people who had the pics on their LJ then immediately took them down, and they way they got them in the first place was because someone emailed it, who emailed it to someone else, who emailed it again, and so on down the line. By the time they hit LJ, no one really knew the circumstances, only that they were cool pics. And again, they were taken down as soon as crap hit the fan

I see where you're coming from, but I've been fair long enough. I didn't say anything when it went down. I left the whole matter alone. The point is that right about now no one has an excuse. Those using those pics have seen or heard something regarding the malcontent on LJ (and Facebook). I feel that in the amount of time that has passed and with the way we all are about speaking out, anyone still using those pics knows how wrong it is. The fault no longer lies with the people who emailed them, etc. The fault lies with those who know it's wrong but continue to do it.

Hey, sorry about butting in on your journal but as it isn't friends locked and I was the one who started it all, I guess I can??? (Another LJ thing I'm not sure of.) I came over to pm you that I have since found out some more information regarding the photos (in the shape of several pms in my inbox when I woke up this morning). I am 'new' to LJ (only been here since June/July) and admit to being clueless on a lot of the politics of it all. I was aware that it was a surprise to the owner that they turned up on LJ as I was on the battlestarblog thread in question but I did not read on this anywhere that they had shown their 'displeasure' (I'm assuming this was added later.) I do think the person who took them needs to take some responsibility if they posted them on FB. No, I did not copy them from FB or make the icon, I am clueless also on all this stuff. I just thought that it was a pretty icon. I never thought of the ramifications of using it at all. I also was completely unaware of the previous history of private Mary photos

Is it the drinking picture? That sucks because those were pretty cool pictures.
