Why don't you care that you're using oil as long as it's not foreign?

I honestly don't understand this thinking (not that this is what YOU are saying, but what I am hearing over and over again) that using foreign oil is some kind of heinous moral problem, but destroying the planet by being by far the most gluttonous overconsumers/polluters in the world and drilling in the Alaska wildlife reserve is not a moral issue at all.

LOL, this is pretty much the only think I get snarky about - overconsumption, environmental destruction, consumerism, poisoning environments, etc. And our current administration's policies regarding it. People often think they know what I think about the war in Iraq. They don't. I've never made a statement about it. But I make plenty of statements about Bush being assigned the illustrious title of Worst Environmental President EVER by numerous environmental groups. I say, live in Cairo for one day and you'll see what will happen when Bush's environmental policies ripping holes in the Clean Air and Water Acts start to take effect.
