I am currently reading Gifts of the Desert by Kyriacos C. This upcoming weekend is Isaac and I's five year anniversary since we started dating.  I can't believe its been FIVE years!  Anyways, we have planned to go back to visit St. John's monastery in Hiram, OH.  The two monks will be visited by a Russian priest this weekend.  They invited us to come and join them for vigil and liturgy where they will be ( Read more... )

Larisa Romanovna Oleynik is ORTHODOX!

I am so excited!  We just bought our first washer and dryer!!!  We've been using our duplex-mate's since we moved here on July 2nd.  We bought the Fridgidare Affinity front load washer/dryer set as seen pictured below, but ours are white.  We didn't buy the storage units, but they kept reminding us that we always can buy them later and they'd come ( Read more... )

I've debated with myself over a nursing career path for a long time and finally decided that since I still don't have a clear career path I should start nursing.  I have been accepted into a State Tested Nurse Assistant training class which runs for two weeks beginning on the 6th.  Once I finish this course I will need to take the state test and ( Read more... )

Last night my dad had a heart attack... then he had another one this morning which he started screaming for my sister.  She took him to the county hospital and they rushed him in an ambulance about 2 hours to the nearest BIG hospital, Ruby Memorial in Morgantown.

If you could please say a prayer for him.  His name is Fred.
