A little story for leah_estelle

My Grandmother told me a story when I was a very young boy about where the color of my eyes came from. I thought you would appreciate this as you told me that your Nana‘s eyes are of the same color. I’m going to put this here for you, as it is too long to be told elsewhere ( Read more... )

That is such a lovely story ~smiles~

Your mother must have had a beautiful spirit if the wood spirits made an effort ot become known to her. Or maybe the wood spirits knew just how special the baby she was carrying was :)

This story has just confirmed my belief that your violet eyes are merely a reflection of how truly unique you are, Daniel.

That story was...amazing. Seriously. My mother, Gail Estelle, is Celtic, and she and I believe in such tellings. One of my favorite things to do is read literature quite similar to what you just told me. There's something calming about it ( ... )

I do not know if I believe in wood spirits. What I do believe in, is the mere fact that you are truly unique. Stop stealing my heart. I need that you know. -blows a kiss-

That is a beautiful story beautifully told, Daniel. Mael would surely be envious of your blessing by the denizens of the sacred grove.

Every one of us on this earth feels like an oddity at times; we all feel uncertain or insecure about some aspect of ourselves. I used to be picked on at school for being small; I'm only 5' 2" now. (I cured the problem by taking up karate, at which I was predictably utterly useless but the mere idea was enough to frighten off the pests!) People, even as adults, are so quick to find imaginary faults in others to make themselves feel better, aren't they? Just imagine if all that same energy was chanelled into something constructive instead...!
