Long, cold ride into work today. I-95 was backed up in both directions including HOV because there was an accident on the south-bound side. Three cars plus a trailer plus a semi tractor-trailer were involved. There was at least one firetruck there, 5 tow trucks, half a dozen police vehicles, and half a dozen VDOT vehicles there trying to sort it

What's with I-95 today?
Down here at Volusia county the 95 was ShutDown all morning due to a major brushfire eating a trailer park. So everyone thought to take US-1 until that got shut down as well. At that point everyone was SOL to go anywhere.

But it is due to brushfire so it's definitely *WARM*.

Never fails. State law in MN requires that all vehicles move one lane away from stopped emergency vehicles, if possible. If not possible, you are to slow down or stop.

Yeah, people will rubberneck anytime. Never seems to fail.

Yanno, I was vaguely envious of the bikes I saw out and about yesterday (record high here) until this reminded me of the other side of riding. :-/
