To all moderators of communities...

Well, this is something I posted as a reply to a mod posting in elricest. It contains some of my views on LJ communities (especially the ones that are not-so-active now), so please read if you are interested. =3

Um... yeah.

Just a FYI... fma is... not even a Fullmetal Alchemist community. It's for Filipino Martial Arts. I think you meant to post fm_alchemist... You should really be careful when you are making such an important posting. (Don't forget to correct that in the elricest community profile page. You got the Filipino Martial Arts community linked there as well.)

Just wondering why can't be sale posts be allowed? I buy a lot of stuff via sale posts I see in LJ communities, so I think it's a good way to get stuff and get rid of stuff.

What is the exact definition of spam? I did read the rules but huh, there were quite a few sale posts in the past and they don't get deleted either (I guess you are in the process of deleting them now) so I thought I was okay to post as long as it's related to elricest. =\ How is postings of fanarts different from postings of doujinshi scans? Both of them lack the permission of the artist. So yes, I paid for a hardcopy of the doujinshi, but that does not mean I have the permission to scan them and post them here on the community (99% of the doujinshis have the "Please don't repost the material" warning inside) - so does that mean people shouldn't even share doujinshi scans then, if posting of fanarts found on the internet is not allowed.

Really, when it comes down to these things, everyone has double standards. Posting doujinshis is "allowed" because the Japanese fanartists can't come and complain about it. Posting fanarts is "not allowed" because the English-speaking fanartists can come and complain about it. Isn't that how things goes most of the time?

Why can't we all be a little more lenient? This community is getting quiet, so would being strict bring it back to life? I have been around since 5 years ago, and EdxAl is still my favourite pairing (I don't post about it does not mean I don't love it. I really don't like how I'm being judged because I don't explicitly fangirl about it)... I still check this place regularly, but the excitement overall has fallen.

Rather than enforcing existing rules (which I find some of them to be rather pointless), wouldn't it be better to inquire the members who are still hanging around? The rules were made based on the community's status back then, so it might be outdated for the current community's status...

Just my 2 cents, and a little bit of rant, I suppose.

The lolz of this post is in the first paragraph =P If they really do care about Hagaren then how did they make such an amateur mistake?!

Well, what do you guys think about most LJ anime communities rules? What is your opinion on it? I would love to hear them. One thing I would also like to mention is... I really don't like how moderators judge a member by the contents of their LJ journal. I was kicked out from a different elricest community because "I don't look like a fan of elricest"...

...wtf really, it has been my favourite pairing since 5 years ago. I don't post about it recently on LJ doesn't mean I don't love it to death and not to mention the amount of $$ I have spent on Ed/Al doujinshis. Moderators... Just because you are a moderator of a community, it doesn't mean you should judge your members like that.

Don't forget - it's the members who make the community strong. Without the members, a community is not a community. It's unwise to kick them out just because you think they are "unfit".

*continues to read Gintama* Seriously, Kamui looks just like Ed. @_@; He even got the friggin' antenna.
