cube root of 2 = a/b, 2 = (a^3)/(b^3), 2b^3 = a^3.
Therefore, a^3 must be even because anything multiplied by 2 will be even. Then because a^3 is even, then a is even.
Let a = 2k.
Sub into the equation: 2b^3 = (2k)^3
2b^3 = 8k^3
b^3 = 4k^3
b^3 must be even because 4k^3 is even ( 4 is divisible by 2, and anything multiplied by 2 is even.)
Therefore k^3 is even so k must be even.
Let k = 2Q
Sub into cube root of 2 in its lowest term, a/b.
a/b = 2k/2Q You can simplify 2k/2Q to k/Q. However, this is impossible since a/b is already in its lowest term and cannot be reduced any further.
Therefore, a/b does not equal to 2k/2Q and the cube root of 2 is irrational.

I was talking to Misi the other night, and she DEFINITELY revived my love//addiction for zee LUTS dolls... <3 (In the summer, I obsessed over them for one day cuz somebody submitted some pictures of her LUTSdolls on dA... but then after that one day I quickly forgot about them because I had NOOO idea what they were called and where I could buy one.. xD;; )
Mmm so YESYES. Misi lovesss Soony (so pretty... j A j ) and I love zee WOOSOO, the Limited ED. one (only 150 pieces!) which is ALREADY SOLD OUT.
...Yeaaa so technically, the one I want to buy doesn't exist anymore.. xD;;
Butbutbut I told Misi that if I can't have a WOOSOO of my own, I'd MAKE one myself.. : D;; And she said that if I ever did, I should give it to her. ; D
SO I DREW ONE, which is sort of like making one. xD;; And now I'm giving it to her. =)
It's still a major WIP, which explains the missing hands and overall sketchyness of the picture... But I will most definitely finish it for zee STARCOW*. <3 The bunny hoodie on Woosoo is one of the LUTSclothes that Misi really likes. =D I combined that with the heartkey onachain that was included with another piece of clothing. <3 Arrr so yeayea.
