It's starting today? Yay! I feel like I've been waiting months for this to get going properly (probably because of Christmas).
People are such cowards when it comes to snow - they're even worse over here; half an inch of snow and the country grinds to a total halt. It's amusing, apart from when you're one of the people who just gets on with their day, only to realise that, hey, you're the only person out of 6 who bothered to come in.
Sometimes, it doesn't pay to be conscientious! Enjoy torturing them on Monday!
Actually I think being conscientious WILL pay off. They owner of the company made it in, I just accepted a transfer to a new department that he really needed me to take, and my review is due. (actually overdue, but only by a couple of weeks) The HR person sort of let me know that even though business is slow certain people's raises aren't being held up, including mine. So today was a good day to be the good and faithful servant.
Which of course makes torturing my colleagues on Monday all the more rewarding!
Hmmm... I am an American. I wonder if it's possible to *snowboard* a torture victim.
Please forgive me for that last comment. dossier will be the first to tell you that my brain needs to be thoroughly bleached!

That sounds... unpleasant (and, huh, I never thought actually knowing what waterboarding in that context is would be useful, so there we go - all random trivia comes in handy eventually!)
