Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
For those of you who get to spend the day with family, that's one more thing to be grateful for. For those of you who must spend the day alone, I hope you can console yourself with the knowledge that while you can't be with them, your family and friends are thinking of you. I know I am.

The things one learns these days
I learned something really cool on Monday. I went back to sick call because the bike made my hip hurt, and I thought that I was over that. Plus, the doc told me to come back if it didn't get completely better. So I went back, and he told me that the muscles were pulling it back out of alignment, and that he was going to put it back in place. ( Read more... ) -
I love it when I get what I want
A big YAY for real snow, everybody! It's snowing here! And I mean SNOWING- not even big, fluffy flakes. We're getting big, fluffy LUMPS (I'd say nearly an inch in diameter sometimes) of big fluffy flakes! It's so pretty! And it makes me so very happy, though most of my southern-bred cohorts fail to understand why. I hope everybody in Michigan ( Read more... ) -

Yay! It started to snow today! Of course, it was a very minimal flurry-type snow, but still... I can't wait for it to actually SNOW. I may be the only one, mind you, but the possibility makes me very happy. I'm crossing my fingers that soon, all of beautiful Germany will be covered in the pretty white fluffy stuff! -

Long days
Today was definitely long- to the tune of 16 hours long. We had a rifle range, and I'm really annoyed that I only qualified as a sharpshooter. I really believed that this time, I was FINALLY going to hit expert (for the first time in my military career). I even zeroed really well. Then... I sucked. I don't know why. Argh! I think I've finally done it. Welcome to the age of technology, I guess. I've tried- I really have. I swore up and down that I wouldn't become dependent on technology. Time off
Ahhh... I love long weekends. I love that the Army likes to give us long weekends. I put in a 3-day pass for this weekend (the last one of the group I got for reenlisting) and am pleased to NOT have to go to work tomorrow. Woo hoo! Mwa ha ha... the addiction spreads!
I love spreading my addictions around. I really do. I have a long and successful record of turning friends and acquaintences into Mountain Dew junkies, and I'm now establishing a history of inducing TV show addictions.
