So, it looks like Bhakti has a mild case of chicken pox! She's not overly uncomfortable, but she's not right. She took forever to go to bed, and just woke up, anxiety ridden, asking me to help her. Poor little monkey. She's asleep now, but at least it's just mild ( Read more... )

Aw poor baby! That really sucks. But like the others said, better now than when the kids are older. I got CP when I was 23! I was sick in bed for over a month. It was really awful.

My mum got CP when she was 30. She was really, really ill. She caught it off of my great grandmother, who had shingles... It's much less intense the younger you are.

*hugs* i hope she feels better...i know it sucks, but in a way its good if they all get it..i know people who have chicken pox parties here so there kids will get it. that way they're immunized for life and don't have to worry about getting it as an adult.
i hope you are doing ok...i think about all of you a lot and wonder how things are going for you. :)

Chicken Pox parties! That's great. It's by far better than that stupid immunization that the girls doctor in the USA had a fit over because we didn't want to give it to them. It's better to get over with it when they're younger, but I hate seeing Bhakti so miserable. I rocked her to sleep last night, and she kept having nightmares.

Things are ok here. My temper isn't the greatest at being controlled, but I think that's just sleep deprivation, and having 2 year olds who are little non-stop balls of energy, and a baby who takes only one 15 minute nap, all day.
