Friday Blues

It's nearly nine and on a regular winter's day the house would be quiet and Sonic the Hedghog DVD-free. Unfortunately, with it being 15 degrees outside with four inches of new snow piled on top of my car, our school district has declared a two-hour delay, so my son is still lounging on the couch with the DVD remote in his hand. The snow continues

I, too, prefer snow over rain, mostly because it's easy to move around and can be brushed off before it melts. I've actually the found metal and glass object under the pile of snow that constitutes my car. Since both the snow and the car are white--and to me white symbolizes clean--I don't mind the color. Also, while it's snowing or right after a storm all the new snow swallows most sound and our street is peacefully quiet.

Now... As soon as I get warmed up I'll be on my way to do the errands I put off doing yesterday.

We have rain, AGAIN. While the rest of you have wonderful snow and school closers or delays, I have rain and an early meeting. I guess it's a good thing I don't mind the rain. Stay warm and safe in all that snow and I hope you get some more writing done. I hope to do some at my meeting, I'm sure I won't be taking notes on whatever they have to tell me. :P

Shame on you, Sue! Your meeting can't be THAT boring.

I think you know my woes with rain and water accumulation in our basement. That's the only reason I don't like rain. Otherwise, I am happy for it because it makes my garden grow and keeps my neck of the woods green all through the summer.

And yes, I am getting lots of writing done while I listen to the washing machine making all my son's socks clean!
