[* A sigh, followed by a faint mutter. *] Where the hell's Jo when I need her?

How hot are we talking? Dead of summer hot, or running head first into a raging forest fire hot?

Hey, I know there're a few out there. Even tried stopping them and nearly got myself plowed over. Sorry but I don't think this is worth risking my life over when I'm needed inside.

[ A moment of pause, as if a little curious. ]

[ Sigh. Shaking her head as she's trying to get back on track. ]

Anyway, let's just say I've got at least a second degree burn. I'll be fine, but it felt like if I went any farther I'd burst into flames. I really didn't want to test to see if that was even possible.

[ Pauses a moment as she hears the clang. ]

[ Stifling a very quiet chuckle. ]

[A slight pause, a steady breath. When he continues, he sounds less aggravated.]

Don't know if we've met yet, but it's not exactly a good time for pleasantries. I'm Mokuba Kaiba ... a new therapist.

I'm trying to count heads, make sure everyone is --

[Crashing, screaming, thumping]

[the thumps and screaming subside, but it takes a minute for him to return]

Right, so, who exactly is in charge during these 'emergency' situations? We need somebody to take charge, and now. The patients aren't reacting well to the situation. People keep talking about creatures in the halls. Something is seriously messed up around here.

Nice to keep you, Kaiba. I'm Death, also a therapist. But the way things are going, I might end up having to assume charge for now, seeing as everyone--patients and staff alike--are ready to flip their lids. We'll need to gather as many available staff as possible so we can get things figured out.

[ Listening to the crashing, screaming, and thumping going on Kaiba's end. Patiently she pauses and waits, sounding a little impressed and concerned at the same time. ]

Sounds like you've got your hands full there. Need any help?

Yeah, I figured. We need to create a plan of attack, so to speak.

There are a couple of nervous patients here. Don't see how attacking each other will make things better, but whatever.

It'd be great if I could find some other staff, but no cigar so far.

Couldn't agree with you more.

Sad to say, I don't blame them. But what's the point in freaking out? We have to keep our cool, or else everything will start to fall apart. If you need anything, let me know. I've been trying to assist every way I can.

More staff would be peachy, if there were any. So far we'll have to make do with what we've got.
