PLEASE let this be a growth spurt

I have the strangest child. Just when I think I'm starting to figure him out, he throws something else at me. Or, more precisely, spits something at me. For the past few days, he's been eating around every 3 hours (as opposed to every 1 1/2 - 2) and it hasn't taken as long as before during each feeding ( Read more... )

Dan and I are laughing hysterically at the image of Peter tied on a stationary bike at baby spinning class. Heck, if someone made a 12 lb baby bike and found a way to sit him on it, he'd spin those tires :)

He ate and ate overnight, and only waited 45 minutes before eating again this morning, which cut short my bath and didn't let me take a shower, but after that, he crashed and has now been asleep an hour and a half--feels like eons :) I got to shower, eat the rest of your pancakes and re-whipped cream and strawberries, and have been hanging out online for awhile. 90 minutes didn't used to feel this long. Dan and I sat at the table eating alone and it felt really strange.

Have I mentioned that it's been in the 70's since you left?

I have no problem dumping Peter on Dan whenever he's around. And I know that if I go to his parents' house, I won't hold the baby until he demands food. But thanks for the reminder :)

Sounds like a growth spurt to me letisca April 19 2004, 13:03:07 UTC
Sounds like you've figured out the part about never quite having it figured out :)

Samuel is either having a growth spurt or just recovering from the excitement of visitors, as he ate every two hours yesterday afternoon and evening (and then 3 times during the night, when that would usually only be once)

We loved the pictures of Peter. He is such a cutie. The baptism picture of the whole family was really sweet too.

I brought Peter to work today so I could officially quit and to show him off--he screamed the whole time, despite my nursing and changing him twice. Good thing he's cute :) Finally, on the drive home, he crashed into a much-needed nap--phew! He did indeed sleep so much on Saturday that he didn't sleep well that night. It's a good thing I don't expect him to be on any schedule because he certainly is throwing me off recently! It's only when he's lazy about latching on that I get really irritated.

I hope Samuel calmed down and recuperated!

I've got to say that Peter's a lot cuter now that he's getting over the baby acne...

I'm glad you came by so I can see your blog entries now that I know they exist :)
