I think Peter can focus on farther distances all of a sudden. Yesterday he turned into cheery, happy boy. I woke up later than usual to find him cooing to himself next to me. I don't think he cried until many hours later. After dealing with persnickety crabby Pete for nearly seven weeks, this smiley kid threw me off. He did eventually get

I think I read somewhere that it was evolutionarily necessary for babies to be able to smile around 6 or 7 weeks of age.
Why does that make me chuckle? It probably shouldn't :)
