One click too many

I finally downloaded a client to post entries more easily.  I think that if the basic LJ form included choice of journal/community on the simple page, I wouldn't have bothered, but I got tired of having to click to extend the options.  I doubt I'm suddenly going to post 3 times a day now, but who knows.

So here's a question unrelated to your entry. You're into more natural parenting techniques (breastfeeding, cloth diapering, etc.). Do you do co-sleeping (which, if I understand it correctly, is having the baby sleep in the bed with you)? As a concept it interests me, though maybe I won't want to do it when we actually get around to having the Algerwong babies. I'm just curious to hear someone's experience with it.

Yep, we're cosleeping. Last summer, I said I wouldn't do it, but I changed my mind ( ... )

That was what we thought---that it would make feeding a baby so much easier. It also seems bizarre to just put a baby in another room entirely or even across the room. How would that be at all helpful for anything?

My parents were of the "put the baby in a different room and let her cry it out" theory of childrearing. I will not be doing that, regardless of whether I try co-sleeping. :-p

My parents made this huge deal about how I slept through the night at 5 days old, so it appears that I was just an easy sleeper and they didn't have to "sleep train" me. I rarely napped though, so it evens out.

Crying it out, even for a day or two, seems so mean to me. Seems like it's training a baby to accept the fact that you'll ignore him. Peter rarely cries at night--as soon as he starts rooting around, either he finds my breast or I put him there, no tears needed.
