Peter has been awfully cranky for the past two weeks (at least in the house--outside, he flirts with everyone he finds), and I was glad to discover the reason for it this morning--a little, sharp white line in his lower gum

Yep, I'm SO relieved that teeth were causing all the whining and insistence upon being carried everywhere 24/7. I love holding him and all, but instant crying upon being set down got a little much.
He's had those two bottom teeth for a long time, seems like 4 months. He's only just started a third tooth, but it's not one of the front two top teeth; rather, it's the next one to the left. So he looks a bit lopsided. We think more top teeth may be imminent.
Samuel also does that act of flirting with everyone when he's outside the house, and saving his crankiness for us. Ah, love. :)
How long did it take his bottom teeth to go from little pointy lines to full-blown teeth? I'm hoping that part is less painful for him than breaking through in the first place.
Isn't Peter young to be getting teeth? In any case, poor kid. I was a big enough whiner when my wisdom teeth were coming in, and I wasn't a confused infant with no pain-management resources. ;)
It's on the early side, but not by much. I'd guess that 4-7 months is the standard. Of the 25ish women on my Born in March board, 3 or 4 have kids with teeth already.
Considering that he's the size of an average 8 month old, his teeth aren't as far ahead as everything else.
Oh man! I'm missing everything! Good thing I'll be home soon. I'm doing well here btw...I fell in love with all the boys here and have decided to only have male children. I lost lots of dignity playing chess this past week but have improved immensely. I miss you all lots and lots!
Hey there! Peter will be way more fun when you're home in a week than he was last week--it's just ridiculous how quickly he's changing. Kelsey is NOT happy about leaving him to go to school.

Samuel sends his sympathy and some crankiness too. He seems to be cutting three upper teeth all at once.
Be careful, those new little teeth are sharp :)
