Peter's rolling like a madman, especially in bed and on the changing table. We now have bed rails up (although he managed to roll off once anyway) and the changing pad is on the spare bed, not the desk. He's horribly frustrated that he can't crawl yet, though. He rocks, he pushes with his legs, but he can't figure out that he needs to pull with

And do call sometime, I have questions (about knitting and other stuff) :)
Have we determined if Peter is the same size as Samuel? I think he has to be. Too bad Samuel and I can't pop by for a visit. Samuel could do some crawling demonstrations, it took him a while to figure out crawling but now he's a pro.
happy birthday! belatedly :)

You can tell we put cameras in his face constantly because no matter how upset he is, the instant a camera is out, he's all smiles. Silly kid.
P's about 22 lbs and 27.5", I think. We'll have his 6 mo check soon and find out for sure.
I wish you guys could come by, too!
How long did it take Samuel to go from rocking and going up on hands and feet to getting some forward movement? P can't figure out that he needs to move his arms--he's tried ever variation of leg movement, but if anything, he only moves backwards.
One more thing--when did S's first upper tooth come in? P's bottom ones came the week he was 5 months, which is 2 months sooner than either Dan's or mine, so checking our baby books isn't helping us guess.

S went up on hands and knees at about 6 months. Went backwards for about a month. Scooted on his tummy for awhile after that and for the last month and a half has been crawling on his hands and knees. The backwards part was really frustrating for him.
I've read that the top teeth should appear about 4-8 weeks after the bottom teeth but S did it differently. He got the bottom two at about 5 months of age and then he got a top tooth about a month ago (four months after the appearance of bottom teeth) and in the last 2 weeks the rest of the top four front teeth came in together.
Crazy stuff, I'm not sure anything helps you guess correctly.

Your backwards crawling story sure isn't too encouraging :) He's going crazy with frustration here. He has figured out how to pull up to standing, so that helps.
I'm glad it might be awhile before any more teeth show up. P thinks it's funny to bite my nipples when he isn't that hungry. It doesn't hurt that much and I can unlatch him, but I don't think it's as amusing as he does.
