What goes into a homebirth kit? Do I even want to know? Every detail I hear about giving birth freaks me out more than the last. It was an extremely sad day when I first learned that giving birth sometimes (usually?) requires an episiotomy. *shudder*

I was more disturbed by my lack of desire to organize for the first 2/3 of my pregnancy than by my overexuberance recently. And seeing Dan want to organize things was a little scary. But yes, I'd call this nesting :) Dan was exhausted last night and I made him carry a pile of toy bins down to the basement so we could clear the baby's room.

I plan to send out an "we're all okay" email as soon as possible after the baby arrives, maybe having my SIL send it (she'll probably be there for the birth). Then you'll have to wait for me to get up to sending news with info on the baby's name and sex. Hopefully we'll be able to pick a name pretty quickly and we don't use "baby girl" or "baby boy" Fisher for too long.

No way will a mass email include something as interesting as the baby's sex :) Certain people will likely get phone calls within the first day, however, and I can't imagine omitting you from such a phone list. Make sure your voice mailbox isn't full any time soon...
