December 3rd already?
I couldn't believe it yesterday when I realized it was already Thursday. Barrett had a rough day, didn't sleep well, didn't eat well. Now all the sudden Friday is nearly over and I didn't make my posts about Baby Gizmo's 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway! It would be wonderful to win a Britax Marathon! Thanksgiving
Barret is now 10 weeks old. At his two month doctor appointment, he weighed a whopping 12 lb, 6 oz, when I expected him to be 1 lb less (according to growth charts)! He's about 90th percentile for height, weight, and head circumference. Of course, that's using the CDC growth charts, which include formula-fed infants. The WHO has growth charts ( Read more... ) -
Barrett update, inc. milestone
Yesterday Barrett wouldn't really sleep if I put him down. That means I basically got nothing done except a couple loads of laundry. Today, he let me put him down for sleep a couple times but didn't sleep very long. He usually takes at least one two-hour nap everyday, but not today. Pregnancy reflections
Today I am at 34 weeks, 4 days, and my OB appt yesterday was rather uneventful--that's a good thing. My BP was exactly the same as last time, and I didn't gain much weight. Baby moves throughout the day and has a good heart beat. Not looking forward to the Strep B test at the next appt ( Read more... ) -
Why we're not circumcising
There are so many people who are adamant about circumcising their baby boys. For a few it's because they know a person who had to experience circ'ing later in life because of infection or irreparable accidental tearing. For others, they think it's "cleaner" for some reason. I accidentally posted an entry on my LJ that was meant for a community. When I went back to delete it, I expected the "edit entry" to link to the entry I just posted, but apparently it went to the second most recent one instead. Somewhat eventful day
Woke up at 10 am, ate cereal, checked e-mail as always, watched the Betty White SNL on Hulu--pretty good. Did dishes, made banana bread. It wasn't till the banana bread was cooling on the rack after 2 pm that I remembered my OB appt at 3! Good thing I remembered! Pregnancy news
I had my mid-term ultrasound Monday morning, and we're having a boy! Andy was really happy and relieved. Now he won't have to worry that he won't get his boy. We're hoping to have a girl next...in a few years. I'm now halfway through my pregnancy. So far Baby seems to be healthy and growing right. He was very active during the ultrasound.
