You take wonderful photos!

Is the oil spill changing a lot of things in your area? I know it seems to be wrecking havoc everywhere, and it's certainly bad for the planet and animals, but since you were close enough to take some photos, I'm wondering if your area has been especially hurt by the disaster? I hope not though...

Thanks! I actually don't live anywhere near the gulf. I live in Utah. We had an oil spill here last month. It has been pretty terrible and it's nowhere near and bad as the gulf. So I can't even imagine what it's like there.

Ah, OK. That makes me wonder how many oil spills there are every year that don't make national headlines, since the big BP mess is the only one I'd heard about here in Massachusetts. (Of course, it's actually BP/Haliburton because Haliburton laid the foundation and other groundwork at that particular site, and it's their work that apparently faltered and caused the disaster, or at least played a huge role in it. But since we have so many politicians making millions and millions of dollars from their investments in Haliburton, apparently they don't have to be accountable for their role in it, not even insofar as having their name tarnished in the media goes. I wouldn't even know this if it wasn't for a very insightful article in Rollingstone. Kind of sad that they seem to dig deeper than CNN sometimes lately.)
