The end of an era

I am not the first to notice that this place has become rather deserted in recent years. For a long time, I continued to read but did not post. Nowadays, it feels like there's hardly anything left to read.

And so I pose this question: who's really out there? Is anyone still reading this? Please leave a comment if you are.

Still listening. Posting sometimes. FB has a lot of little traffic that might otherwise be tweets, but lj is still better for long form content and real discussions. Maybe my corner of lj is noisier. I think I regularly see at least 20 posts per day on my friends page.

I'm still here, just not feeling the need to broadcast my personal life in the way I did in high school and college.

I do check my LJ friends list, and I do enjoy seeing updates from people I know. By now though it is mostly feeds from communities, with more friends writing on separate blogs instead. I certainly haven't posted on LJ in a very long time.
