1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?
I graduated high school :P I saw Spring Awakening three times. I saw the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. I went to parties and write-ins for National Novel Writing Month. I was in a musical and auditioned for community theater.

2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions and will you make more for next year?
I always make vague resolutions about improving my life and whether I keep them is highly subjective. I think I will continue to make them -- it's good to encourage positive thinking.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.

5. What countries did you visit?
STILL NONE.

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
My license.

7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
May 31st. I graduated high school.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I started college and I didn't die.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Still not getting my license.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing bad, thankfully.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
FABRIC WITH WHICH TO CREATE FREDDIE.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
freddie for being so awesome and spreading joy across the land

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
A couple different people in my extended family who made some bad choices. Some friends, too, but like I said last year -- New Year's is not a time to bring up old conflicts long resolved.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Spring Awakening tickets.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Metting prosopopeya and getting to see my favorite musical ever with her.

16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2009?
Lowry - Whiskey. Regina Spektor - School Is Out. Duncan Sheik's self-titled album. Switchfoot's album Hello Hurricane.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

Happier, I think.

ii. Older or wiser?
Wiser.

Thinner.

Poorer.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Made more friends. Worked harder. Read more.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Being anxious. Being lonely. Being stuck in the past.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent it with my family and at a party at my aunt's house.

23. How many one-night stands?
FORTY TWO.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Glee. The Sing-Off.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
Probably.

26. What was the best book you read?
IN THE FLESH, THE SPRING AWAKENING COMPANION BOOK. That book is relevant to my interests.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Duncan Sheik. Lowry. Beelzebubs. Lady Gaga.

28. What did you want and get?
TO SEE SPRING AWAKENING WITH RACHELLE. Also a squid (even if it isn't a hat).

29. What was your favorite film of this year?
lol i don't watch movies. does rifftrax count? it is a cinematic experience.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was 19 and it was Thanksgiving.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
i have a fashion concept? I started taking risks, I guess. I wore dresses more. I parted my hair differently.

34. What kept you sane?
The internet. Sewing.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Regina Spektor. Krystina Alabado.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
I'm not really sure. I guess gay marriage stirs me always.

37. Who did you miss?
Old friends and teachers.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
um irl i met prosopopeya finally that was pretty crazy but not really new. We met an awesome person at stagedoor at Spring Awakening, her name is Heather and we follow her on Twitter... I met someone at school (college, that is) that helped me survive English class. I met several great teachers there also.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009:
Things are rarely as bad as they seem.
