Anansi Boys, ice cream, and such.

I'm about to head out to the store and buy some ice cream, but I decided to post here before I did. :P

Hee, yeah, Anansi Boys seemed more like a nice little family-life story - I think he even mentioned it somewhere in his blog that it (the story) being less darkly adult and more fun in the sense of being a 'younger' sort of story (though not necessarily in terms of target audience - more like overall book character). Did that make any sense? Christ, I wish I was as eloquent as Uncle Neil was ( ... )

It actually made quite a bit of sense. Is it just me or did Charlie become more of a trickster than Spider did? Very amused by that, at least. Gaiman has a way with manipulating your emotions like no other author. I went from despising Spider to absolutely loving him.

I'll look into that. I enjoy British humour, so I hope that'll whet my appetite for something new to read. :)

Start with Fforde's 'The Eyre Affair', the first book, which I daresay is still pretty much the best. It has a dodo on the cover. And between them. Though not necessarily on a wee push-scooter.
