Before the rant, firstly, let me welcome
coallump to the happy band of lj-ers.
Secondly, before the rant, an update on the weekend - I successfully shopped on Sunday, the day after I had to break into my own flat, and am now the proud owner of a rather nice ensemble to wear at the Boy Wonder's passing out parade next Tuesday (fingers crossed).
I hunted myself up a pair of chocolate brown suede ankle boots, a chocolate brown long suede skirt and a cream loose-necked jumper. I also happened across a pair of straightening irons (my hairdresser used them on me and the effect is amazing), and a bit of a binge in Claire's Accessories. And I was ecstatic to be home after that, town was heaving and one woman's clumsiness with a shopping bag caused me to have a bout of near Tourette's in a department store, as she casually rammed a sharp edge into my injured knee.
And now the rant:
1) why do people leave the photocopier jammed/out of paper etc?
2) why do people use the last of something and not order a replacement?
These 2 issues cause so many problems it's unbelievable - last month the copier ran out of toner and we have to wait 4 days for it to be functioning again because whoever used the last one didn't bother to tell anyone. Urgent post is delayed because people take the last of envelopes/labels etc and don't order more.
I mean, is it *really* so difficult to put paper in the copier, or actually tell the office manager we've run out of something? Work is hard enough without inconsiderate selfish people making it worse. Grrrr!
OK, rant over. Fairly mild as rants go, but I needed to say it.
