I'm relating... that's why I'm crying, mostly, but also because it's so sad when parents condemn their children. Though Maya has never said that... but I'm sure she's thought it many times over
ah... i honestly don't know what to say. i'd apologise for making you cry but i'm glad too, in a way.
it can be hard, isn't it? because even when people worship 'love', even when people hail 'love' as something beautiful, sacred, etcetera etcetera... sometimes, i think that they're only in love with their own representation of 'love' itself. outside of it, if given different definitions (on words or in flesh), they'll scorn it.
The truth often leads to bitterness :/ And it's true that they often are in love with their own representation of love. Love is supposedly a wondrous thing that you can't help but feel, yet when you're in love with someone of the same gender you are supposed to have 'chosen it'. Who chooses who they fall in love with?
You can't really control the heart with the mind and those who think love is a choice are rather stupid (I'm definitely bitter)
on that exactly same page. it's hypocritical, when they say something (like how you should follow your heart etc) and then contradict that by outlining what your heart should follow in the first place. i just plain hate it.
i'm generalising wildly here but i suppose part of being human is our constant vehemence against something that we can't control. it's just something that i've seen too often. most people, if it's beyond what they can comprehend, they'll immediately discard it. call it nonsensical. useless. illogical.
pfft. i want to punch people like that. but you know. i'm just too tired of trying to rationalise my 'choices'. it takes too much time and effort and in the end, it wouldn't have mattered. as long as it works for me... well, screw them.
