Summaru: A collection of one sentences centring around the relationship of Akutsu Jin and Kaidoh Kaoru. [ AkuKai ]. One-shot.

- Akutsu would like to remind everyone that even though he is buying another ‘I’m-freakin’-sorry-okay’ gift for his boyfriend (the fifth one that month alone - wasn’t his fault that Kaidoh doesn’t like making out in public), he can still punch your ugly mug to next Sunday and back.

- Kaidoh kisses his worn green bandanna for the last time and allows it to flutter onto the sleek coffin in the freshly-dug hole, ignoring the sound of something breaking inside his chest.

- Akutsu is just like the wind; temperamental - from the mild breeze to a raging hurricane - and impossible to hold down, but as Kaidoh kisses the dry chapped lips underneath him and hears a moan in return, he can’t help but to gloat inwardly that he has been given the rare privilege to touch the wind.

- Kaidoh laughs loudly when Akutsu tackles him into the couch inside their cluttered apartment, his hair sticking out at odd places and his face bright with radiance once caged underneath his antisocial attitude.

- Akutsu holds up his ‘scissors’ and wriggled his fingers in front of Kaidoh’s reddening face and defeated ‘paper’, mentally patting himself at the back for inventing the Strip Version of ‘Rock, Paper, Scissor’ as Kaidoh pulled down his boxer.

- Akutsu tastes like cinnamon and vanilla, and Kaidoh refuses to reveal, to an amused Oishi, how he knows that.

- They are not tied together by a vow of marriage, or even a single promise to be together, but they stays around each other longer than both of them thought possible.

- ‘Forever’ seems like such a short time to Kaidoh whenever Akutsu says “I’ll live forever, you idiot, so don’t worry bout me, ‘kay?” and disappears from their small apartment to answer his boss’s summon.

- Akutsu chokes back a scream and presses his hand harder against his chest, against the tiny holes and spurting crimson liquid, remembering his promise to return home tonight and celebrate his birthday with Kaidoh tomorrow.

- Akutsu scowls darkly as Kaidoh places a bowl of something, with suspicious floating chunks and unidentified objects swimming in thick broth, in front of him and stares at him expectantly; like he’s suicidal enough to attempt consuming his boyfriend’s freaky food experiments.

- Akutsu can’t sing for shit, but Kaidoh still smiles shyly at the disfigured version of ‘Happy Birthday’ that Akutsu is currently belting out and at the cute cupcake (with a mini candle, chocolate coins and sprinkles on it) before him.

- The roof is slightly slippery and the night is cold, so Kaidoh allows Akutsu to press their bodies together and sighs softly in contentment as he buries his face into the crook of Akutsu’s neck.

- He still feels awkward whenever Kaidoh greets him (usually with an impassive face and a blue apron on) when he returns to their newly-rented apartment, but it feels great to mutter ‘I’m home’ and knowing that there’s someone to reply that greeting.
