What was going on?

Phoenix had no idea where the hell he was. Last thing he knew, he had been in the bathroom of the Gatewater Hotel... he, Maya, and Pearls had gone there to see the Hero of Heroes Grand Prix show with Will Powers. And then... the show had been stopped, and someone had been murdered, and Maya had been kidnapped

It was rediculous. This entire place made no sense at all.

Not only did Miles end up in an entirely different place than he should have been, he ended up going into the past. Logically, it made no sense.

After spending hours looking at outdated newspapers and talking to televisions, he was walking around. Maybe there was something he missed. Maybe. Or so he hoped.

It was getting hopeless. Even if he did find a way out, how on earth would he get back to the future? No wonder his cell phone didn't work, even though he still carried it around in the jacket of his magenta suit. The company probably didn't even exist during this time period.

The familiar color passing by the bathrooms caught Phoenix's attention. He blinked, peering out into the main walkway. No way. There was no way it was...

But it was.

And his heart stopped.

Phoenix pictured running over and punching the man, grabbing him by the cravat, yelling at him for leaving him without saying anything.

And yet he just... stood there.

"...Edgeworth?" he squeaked, finally, taking a few very timid steps into the walkway. No way. Just no way.

Hearing his name so suddenly in the nearly silent airport made him stop. Entirely. He could have sworn his heart stopped in that moment as well as he forgot to breathe.

That voice. But it couldn't be.

He was tempted to keep walking. To pretend he never heard. But.. he was unable to. Even though he felt disappointment once he turned slowly, and noticed the other man standing there, staring at him.

Phoenix was stuck here, just as much as he was.

Miles frowned a little. "..Wright."

Phoenix just... stood there, completely shocked that Edgeworth was there and all he could say was his name.

Shocked and infuriated.

Taking a few steps towards him, Phoenix growled, just a little. "You... why are you?!"

And he couldn't say any more.
