Face it, Tom. Paul is too extreme to win. I can respect the man's ideals, but he's not speaking out publicly enough to the common man to get people to agree with him.

I dunno. It seems like poor people vote democratic. Rich people who want to be protected by the government vote republican. Rich people who want to protect themselves vote Ron Paul. But I don't know any poor people who want to vote for Ron Paul, which means that either he's doing a bad job pushing his message, or that his policies are a bad idea for poor people.

Last night Julian (who is now a cop in Gwinette county) was over, telling us about the various police shootings going on in Georgia lately. Cheery stuff, y'know. Anyway, I'm consistently amazed by your ability to tie anything you don't like that happens around you to political policies you disapprove of. The cop wasn't a bully because of public school. He's a bully because, well, people are dicks.

I don’t know where you come up with these assertions. This poor people vote democrat business is foolish. How would a Republican ever get elected to anything when the rich comprise < 10 % of the populace? The problem is you assume a static model, with no upward or downward mobility along income. It’s far more dynamic than that. The policies enacted never vary, though. Each new program, entitlement, or security policy ultimately lead to less freedom ( ... )
