[Lena knows better than to expect Sonny to give such a gift to her in person. It doesn't make it any less meaningful. She smiles and places the lion next to Herbert the elephant and Elphaba the pony. She knows exactly why he's giving it to her, and she doesn't need the reminder--she will always consider him her father, but it's nice to have one regardless.

Sonny looks up at her when she enters, and he smiles. He's not seated at the desk but he's by the filing cabinet, and he shuts it when she enters.]
