Youre totally right I think... sometimes one just needs something to pass the time when you're bored. That's why being a video game nerd is great, because no matter whats going on, I always have something I really enjoy doing.

Nothing wrong with that, or fapping, or writing porn!

Youre also right in that one cant just "pick up" a hobby. At least I cant... I have to actually be drawn to it to want to really spend time doing it. Just getting a hobby for the sake of getting a hobby doesn't really work in my experience..

Should start playing Civ 5 with otters!

It is good to see people using LJ again, I need to post more often. Work has been horrible lately and it would probably do me good to get some of the stress off my chest.

Reading your post, I was thinking if you like Civ 5, you might want to try Sins of a Solar Empire. You might like that game as well. Perfect way to blow a couple hours=d

Geocaching is a really fun, and sometimes quite exciting hobby. I enjoy it for the thrill of the hunt and for the creativity and length some people go through to hide their caches, great exercise, too.

One of my favorite hobbies is Lego, it sharpens the mind, stimulates creativity, and gives a fantastic sense of accomplishment. One of the more satisfying parts of Lego building is learning to think outside the box when it comes to building.
