Every once in awhile when I get bored and listless I watch TEDTalks lectures. I started on Netflix, but then I realized they have them on Youtube as well. They're actually pretty fantastic, most of the time--people have really great ideas and talk about some really interesting things

Speaking of unexpected and brilliant, I found this one talk by this woman who listed all sorts of reasons why she believes humans had an aquatic evolutionary ancestor, and she presented all of this evidence and talked about how and why scientists have been specifically critical of this theory and that's why it's almost completely unheard of. But that talk changed my life--she totally convinced me, lol. Indeed, much love for TED :D

German seems so archaic with nearly as many cases as Latin . I suppose if I could read Goethe or Schelling in the original I'd probably appreciate it more . I love Mozart , but I don't need language for that .

German has almost as many cases as Latin, but for the most part, nouns don't decline, so it's easier. :D I find it much easier to navigate as a usable language than Latin.
I do agree he's up against many vested interests, but with luck those who do not heed his call will go up in flames and wish they had heeded his call sooner...
