The top picture is soooo far superior technically to the LOL picture - which is certainly cute...the LOL cat photographer is clever with the composition - but would still benefit from, like, knowledge and training re: light, exposure, depth of field, focus...

Don't worry man - the printing press allows Danielle Steele to publish...but...we don't have to read her (in public.)

Oh, you're absolutely right about these specific images. I could print out the lolcat photo and put it up on my wall, but that would be a bit ghetto of me, and I don't think my "patients" would get the same sense of reassurance from it. Then again, I have yet to see any "co-pays," so they get what they pay for.

I'll keep taking decent photos, but I don't think I'll be pursuing that career as an art photog any time soon. roflcopter.
