My German intern's name is "Helge". He regularly gives the Starbuck's fellows the name "Alex", as it's just less confusing for all concerned.

I have one of the most common names bestowed on baby girls in the 70s,
yet have the time when I gave my name over the phone, or at such an establishment, they write down "Martha". If my dad had had his way, I'd have been named Marcella, and that would have made for some hilarity.
