Ich haße Kalkul

So I have this calc project, and the grade doesn't mean a thing--GPAs for the year are done, as are class rankings ("tertiadictorian," they call me... 3rd in the class; I think I might get a silly medal or something but I don't get to make a speech or sit in front at graduation, which I wouldn't care about if I hadn't done so much work over the ( Read more... )

Mmm I always wanted to make a speech at graduation too, mostly cause I'm good at that stuff, but if I'm in the top ten still I'll be in shock. ('Course I don't have to worry about it 'till next year). But I already have planned out what I'm going to try to do instead. I'm gonna sing "May It Be," the Enya/LOTR song. Ha ha ha, they can't keep me from showing off, even if I don't have the grades to deserve it! Yay for the music department!

*laughs* Ugh, you're lucky though. My school wouldn't accept CTY physics as a physics course. Therefore, no AP Physics for me. (Well, I guess that it doesn't help that my school doesn't have an AP physics course . . . I'd have to go to a college to get one . . . but still)

graduation speeches are overrated. I had to give the salutatory address at my HS graduation, and it was no more than a glorified welcome. had to thank every group of people for whatever it was they'd done for us.

and yet, I got a lot of people telling me afterwards that they enjoyed my speech the most of the three (the other two being the valedictory address and the superintendent of the diocese's speech).
